Hunter Cannon wins Award!

Hunter Cannon has won a $1000 scholarship from the Bill Dooley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.  Hunter and his parents will be the guest of the foundation at a banquet on the campus of Duke University on Wednesday April 29th where he will be recognized with a plaque.  Hunter

Ray Avery Tournament Champions!

The Ayden-Grifton Varsity Baseball Team Won the 2015 Ray Avery Easter Baseball Tournament at Ayden-Grifton High School.  They defeated Roanoke Rapids High School on Saturday night 12-4, East Carteret High School 9-1 on Monday night and finished off the tournament with a 11-0 win over South Creek High school in 5 innings on Tuesday night.

Reminder: Winter Awards Ceremony Tonight

Just a reminder that our 2014-15 Winter Athletics Awards Ceremony is tonight at 6:30 in the schools auditorium.  Will be honoring our Cheerleaders, Wrestlers, boys and Girls basketball players.  All are welcome to attend and there is no charge.  Come out and support our Winter Athletes! Boys Track takes 1st Girls 2nd in home meet

Ayden-Grifton Boys and Girls Track hosted Goldsboro and South Lenoir in a track meet on Wednesday.  The Boys finished 1st and the girls finished 2nd overall. Top Finishers Girls 1st – 4x400m relay 1st – 1600m run – Halei Ward 1st – 3200m run – Halei Ward 1st – 100m dash – Beyonce Jones 1st
