The Ayden-Grifton Basketball teams will have their first home game of the season vs North Johnston Tuesday afternoon. Basketball Scrimmage on Wednesday

The Ayden-Grifton Boys and Girls Basketball teams will be hosting South Creek HS for a scrimmage on Wednesday Nov. 15th at 5 pm.  Admission will be $3 and the Charger Club will be having a concession stand open.

Coach Bob Murphrey was officially inducted into the NCHSAA Hall of Fame on Saturday April 8th at the Hall of Fame Banquet in the Friday Center in Chapel Hill. Winter Awards Ceremony

The Ayden-Grifton Winter Athletic awards will be Wednesday March 1st in the Auditorium at 6:30 pm. We will be recognizing our JV and Varsity Boys Basketball teams, Girls Varsity basketball, Varsity Wrestling and JV and Varsity Cheerleading squads.  There is no price admission and everyone is invited to attend.

Boys Basketball falls in 3rd Round

The Ayden-Grifton Varsity Boys Basketball run came to an end at Clinton High School Saturday night by the score of 62-55. The played 3 games in 5 nights on the road and defeated #8 seeded Cummings and #9 seeded Northeastern before falling to the #3 seeded Clinton High school.  The Boys finish the season 16-13

Varsity Boys Advance to 2nd Round!

DJ Sugg scored on a lay up with 1.3 secs remaining to give the Chargers a 62-61 win over Burlington Cummings in the 1st round of the NCHSAA Playoffs. The Chargers will now travel to Elizabeth City Northeastern Thursday night at 7 pm for the 2nd round.  Good Luck Chargers!

ECC Basketball Tournament

The ECC Regular Season has ended and the Varsity boys team finished 3rd in the conference with a 13-11 overall record and 5-5 in conference play behind Greene Central and Kinston. The boys finished the regular season winning 4 straight and 6 of their last 8 games and defeated 2nd place Kinston 63-45 on the
